Contract duration:
This contract is concluded for an indefinite period and can be cancelled with a notice period of 4 weeks to the end of the year. There will be no refund of membership subscriptions already paid. The membership fee is an annual contribution of 1.1. to 31.12. of each year. For membership application after December 1th, the contribution for the following year applies. PIWI International can terminate the contract only for an important reason. An important reason shall particularly exist when members are contrary against the regulations of the association.
Promotional directions for PIWI International Members:
Members are permitted to refer to their PIWI International membership in form of continuous text in their print and online media. In this connection word formations PIWI International member, membership of PIWI International are mandatory. Members are permitted to use PIWI International logo as word and design mark on their wine labels and advertising material. Therefore members are granted non-exclusive and non-transferable right of use. Members are allowed to use the logo of association only in original colors and negative cutter. Any other changes to the logo design must be agreed in advance with the PIWI International office.
Privacy Policy:
(1) Upon joining, PIWI International (“the Association”) collects the first name, surname, date of birth, telephone number(s), email address and postal address of new members. This data is stored on the Executive Board’s computer systems and in the membership management software “Webling”. Personal data is protected from access by third parties through technical and organisational measures. The Association processes or uses other information about (non-)members only if this is necessary in individual cases to further the Association’s purpose and there is no reason to assume that the data subjects have a legitimate interest that would preclude such processing or use.
(2) The Executive Committee shall inform members of special events organised by the Association, in particular trips and events, via notices, letters, media publications and/or the Association’s website. In this context, members’ personal data may be published to the extent necessary for appropriate presentation. This also applies to photographs and videos taken during Association activities. Information may also be sent to members by email. The Executive Committee hereby confirms that it has taken sufficient technical measures to protect privacy. Nevertheless, comprehensive data protection cannot be guaranteed when members’ personal data is published on the internet. Members of the association therefore acknowledge the risks associated with possible infringements of their personal rights and are aware that personal data may also be accessed in countries where data protection standards are lower than those of the Federal Republic of Germany; the confidentiality, integrity, authenticity and availability of personal data are not guaranteed. The association member voluntarily consents to the publication of their data on the internet. Members of the association consent voluntarily to the publication of their personal data on the internet. Members (and/or their representatives) may object to the publication of their personal data at any time (either generally or on an individual basis) by contacting the chairperson; in such cases, the members’ personal data will no longer be published.
(3) Only members of the Executive Committee and, where necessary in individual cases, other members who, depending on the circumstances, perform specific management tasks and require access to members’ data, shall be provided with a digital or printed list of members containing the necessary data. The regular processing of members’ data is set out in a record of processing activities. The President is the data controller. Under the Federal Data Protection Act, every member has the right to access their personal data, to know the recipients in the event of data transfers and the purpose of storage, as well as the right to rectification, erasure and restriction of processing. The association may only process or use the data in any other way that goes beyond its tasks and purposes as set out in the Articles of Association (e.g. for advertising purposes) if it is legally obliged to do so or if the members have consented to this. The sale of the data is prohibited.
(4) Upon resignation, the membership details referred to in paragraph 1 shall be removed from the membership list. Personal data of resigning members that is required for payment processing shall be retained by the treasurer in accordance with tax regulations for up to ten years from the date of written confirmation of resignation.
